Contract 28mm Eyelet Curtain Pole Kit – Brushed Nickel

An eyelet version of our most popular contract pole. Eyelet curtains have their own rings built into the heading and thread straight onto the 28mm tube, so this set comes without loose rings – and costs a little less than the ringed set because of it. It’s the pole we reach for in hotel bedrooms, offices, student accommodation and care settings where eyelet curtains are specified. This one is Brushed Nickel: a soft satin nickel that suits contemporary hotel bedrooms and offices without shouting about it.

What comes in the box

The 28mm metal pole at your chosen kit length (1.2m to 4.8m), two brackets up to 2m and three from 2.4m, a pair of finials, fixings and fitting instructions. Kits up to 2.4m come in one piece; the 3.2m, 4m and 4.8m kits come in two pieces with a joiner, with the middle bracket fixed at the joint. No rings – they’re not needed with eyelet curtains.

Hanging your curtains

Ordering eyelet curtains from us too? Tell us the pole length and we’ll size the curtains to suit. The pole is sent direct from the manufacturer, so it arrives separately from your curtains.

Every bracket in this set is wall-fixed. Fix into masonry with the plugs and screws supplied; into stud or dry-lined walls, fix into the studs or use a proprietary heavy-duty cavity fixing – a loaded contract curtain will pull a plasterboard-only fixing out.

Choosing the bracket

• Adjustable K brackets adjust from 93mm to 118mm overall projection, which covers most reveals and lets you clear a shallow sill or trim.
• Contemporary brackets are the slimmest option in the range and project 100mm to pole centre (120mm overall).
• Long L brackets give a fixed 95mm projection to pole centre (110mm overall) – the choice when the curtain has to clear a radiator, a deep sill or a window board.

Bracket positions

Sets up to 2000mm come with two brackets, one near each end. From 2400mm a third, centre bracket is supplied and must be fitted; set it at the mid-point of the run. The 3200mm, 4000mm and 4800mm sets come in two pieces with a joiner – fix the centre bracket at the joint.

Note for eyelet curtains: the eyelets cannot pass a centre bracket. On sets of 2400mm and over, plan the curtain as a pair drawing to the sides, with the centre bracket sitting in the overlap, or tell us the layout when you order and we will work the curtain widths around the bracket positions.

Fitting order

Fix the brackets first and check them level across the run. Thread the curtain onto the pole before you seat the pole in the brackets and before the finials go on – once a finial is fitted the eyelets cannot be slid over the end. Eyelet rings need an inside diameter greater than 28mm to run freely on this pole.

Care

Wipe the pole and finials with a dry or barely damp soft cloth. Do not use abrasive creams, scouring pads or solvent cleaners on the Brushed Nickel finish. Re-check bracket screws after the first few weeks of use in high-traffic buildings.
