Bespoke Fabric Design
When the scheme needs a fabric that doesn't exist yet.
Exclusive fabrics on certified FR base cloths
Sometimes the scheme needs something that doesn't exist yet. A colourway that matches the brand identity exactly. A pattern that ties the interior concept together. A fabric nobody else in the market can specify because it was designed for this project.
We work with our fabric house partners to develop custom, inherently fire retardant fabrics — from simple colourway adjustments on existing base cloths through to fully bespoke print and weave designs.
From brief to production
Brief us on the concept
Colourway, pattern, texture, end use. The brief can come from your interior designer, from brand identity assets, or as a starting idea we develop together.
We match the partner
We identify the right fabric house partner and certified FR base cloth for the technique — digital print, rotary print, or woven development.
Samples and strike-offs
Development samples and strike-offs are produced for approval before any production commitment is made.
Production and make-up
On sign-off, production runs are manufactured and certified, and curtains are made to measure from the approved fabric.
What's possible
Custom colourways
Take an existing inherently FR base cloth and print or dye it in your specified colourway. The fastest route to a bespoke fabric — the base cloth performance is already certified, so the compliance path is straightforward.
Exclusive prints
An original print design on a certified FR base cloth — from your designer, the brand's identity assets, or developed collaboratively with the fabric house's in-house studio.
Bespoke weave development
For larger projects where the volume justifies it, a fully bespoke woven fabric developed on FR yarn. A longer development cycle, but a truly exclusive product.
What to expect
Minimum order quantities apply and vary by fabric house and technique. Lead times run longer than standard product — typically 8–16 weeks depending on complexity. We set expectations clearly at the briefing stage.
