Shipping policy

Last updated:  1st September 2026

Most of what we supply is manufactured to order and delivered directly from our approved UK manufacturers and workrooms. This lets us offer a wide range of compliant, made-to-measure products while keeping lead times and costs sensible. This policy forms part of our Terms of Service.

1. Delivery Areas

We deliver to addresses in mainland Great Britain as standard.

Deliveries to Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands and Islands, the Isle of Wight, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands and the Scilly Isles are available but may attract a surcharge and a longer transit time. We will confirm this before Order Acknowledgement.

For overseas projects, offshore sites, or restricted-access locations, contact us before ordering so we can confirm feasibility and cost.

3. Lead Times

All lead times are estimates, not guarantees. They run from the later of Order Acknowledgement, receipt of cleared funds or an approved deposit, and confirmation of all measurements and specifications.

  • Made-to-measure curtains and soft furnishings: typically 10–15 working days. Some fabrics, particularly those held at the mill rather than in UK stock, can extend this to 20–25 working days; we will tell you at Order Acknowledgement if this applies.
  • Tracks, poles and accessories: typically 5–10 working days.
  • Fabric samples: dispatched within 2 working days by Royal Mail.

Lead times vary with fabric availability, specification, manufacturer schedules and seasonal demand. If your project has a fixed deadline, speak to us before ordering and we will confirm whether it can be met.

4. Delivery Method

Goods are dispatched by third-party couriers or specialist carriers depending on size and weight. Larger consignments may be palletised or delivered kerbside, which we will advise in advance.

Because items ship from different manufacturers, an order containing more than one product type will usually arrive as separate consignments on different days. We will send tracking or dispatch notification for each.

Deliveries are made on working days only. Timed, named-day or Saturday deliveries can sometimes be arranged at additional cost but are not guaranteed unless agreed in writing before dispatch.

A signature is required on delivery.

5. Access and Delivery Conditions

You are responsible for ensuring that:

  • the delivery address, contact name and telephone number are accurate and complete;
  • access is suitable for the size and weight of the goods — long track and pole lengths in particular may need two people to receive;
  • someone is available to accept and sign for the delivery;
  • the site is ready to receive goods on the expected delivery date.

Failed, aborted or refused deliveries, and redeliveries caused by access problems, site not ready, or incorrect information, will be recharged at the carrier's rate.

6. Held and Delayed Deliveries

If you ask us to hold finished goods, or do not accept delivery within 10 working days of our notifying you that the goods are ready, we may invoice the outstanding balance in full and charge storage at a reasonable rate from that date.

7. Risk

Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery to the address in the Order Acknowledgement, or on collection. Ownership passes only when the goods have been paid for in full — see Section 7 of our Terms of Service.

8. Inspection on Delivery

Inspect all goods on arrival and before installation.

  • If packaging is visibly damaged, note this on the courier's delivery record before signing.
  • Report transit damage or missing items to us within 48 hours of delivery, with photographs of the damage, the packaging and the delivery label.
  • Report manufacturing faults or incorrect goods within 7 working days of delivery.

Claims raised outside these timeframes may not be accepted. Full details are in our Refund & Returns Policy.

9. Delays and Unforeseen Events

We are not responsible for delays caused by factors outside our reasonable control, including manufacturer or fabric supplier delays, material shortages, discontinuation, courier disruption, severe weather, or force majeure events as defined in our Terms of Service. Delay does not entitle you to cancel an order or to compensation.

We will keep you informed and do what we reasonably can to minimise disruption.

10. Installation

Delivery does not include installation unless expressly agreed in writing.

Where measuring, fitting or installation has been arranged through CreateFR or a recommended third party, this will be detailed in your quotation or Order Acknowledgement and is subject to Section 15 of our Terms of Service.
