Kirkby Design, now trading as Kirkby, is the bold, contemporary house of The Romo Group. CreateFR carries its inherently flame retardant drapery qualities, most of them woven from recycled FR polyester, as made-to-measure curtains and Roman blinds certified to BS 5867 Part 2 Type B, many also to IMO FTP Code Part 7: wide-width sheers and drapes, plains and velvets for hotels, restaurants and other contract interiors. CreateFR carries its inherently flame retardant drapery qualities as finished, made-to-measure curtains and Roman blinds, priced instantly online or quoted for a project alongside the other fabric houses we carry.

What is in the Kirkby Design range

  • Vision FR. Recycled, wide-width FR sheers: Vision FR itself, a textured plain, 300 cm wide and room-high, in 22 colourways; Lume FR, an ombré sheer in five; and Spectra FR, a fine-stripe sheer in six.
  • Ornate Drapery FR. Wide-width sheers and drapes in recycled FR polyester, 275 to 300 cm wide: Expo FR and Cosmo FR semi-sheers, the textured Relief FR, Curio Drape FR with a metallic geometric, the embroidered Cornice Drape FR, and Streamline Drape FR, a textured stripe.
  • Nova FR. A plain FR velvet in 35 colourways, mostly recycled polyester, with a Martindale of 50,000 rubs.
  • Soda FR. A melange Trevira CS plain in 26 colourways, 140 cm wide, with a Martindale of 40,000 rubs.
  • Recycled yarns. Most of the range is made largely from recycled FR polyester; see sustainable FR curtains.

Certification

Every Kirkby Design quality listed here is inherently flame retardant and certified to BS 5867 Part 2 Type B. The wide-width sheers and drapes in the Vision FR and Ornate Drapery FR collections also hold EN 13773, and Vision FR, Nova FR, Relief FR, Curio Drape FR and Streamline Drape FR hold IMO FTP Code 2010 Part 7. The ratings for each fabric are on its product page, and certificates are supplied with your order.
