Project Recess Fix Double Track Kit – White

This double track sits flush inside a plasterboard ceiling recess and hangs two layers (say a sheer and a blackout curtain) from one hidden profile, so the track disappears and only the curtains are seen. Specify it where the ceiling detail is built to take the track – hotel bedrooms, care homes, serviced apartments and student accommodation.

What comes in the box

The track at your chosen kit length (1m to 6m), end caps, and gliders and end stops for every groove – 20 gliders on the shortest kit, up to 120 on the longest – plus all the fixings. Kits from 3m upwards come in two lengths with a joiner, which keeps them easy to deliver and handle on site.

Hanging your curtains

Ordering curtains from us too? Hang one layer per groove – a sheer at the front, a dress or blackout curtain behind. Pencil pleat and pinch pleat headings run on the gliders supplied; there’s no wave option on this profile, so choose a pencil or pinch pleat heading. The track is sent direct from the manufacturer, so it arrives separately from your curtains.

Recess fix: form the plasterboard ceiling recess to take the profile, then fix the track directly up into the recess through the profile – no brackets are needed and fixings are included in the kit. Fix along the whole length and check the track is straight and level so every groove runs freely.

Joining: kits of 3m and over are supplied as two pieces with a joiner; join the pieces before offering the track up to the recess. This track cannot be bent – plan the recess for straight runs.

Gliders and end stops: the kit is counted per groove – a 1m kit gives 10 gliders and two twist end stops for each groove, and the glider count scales with length. Share the gliders between the grooves before you fit the end caps. Roller gliders can be specified for heavier curtains.

Care: keep the grooves clean and dust-free and re-siliconise periodically to prolong smooth running of the gliders.
