At CreateFR we aim to make ordering fire retardant curtains
as easy as possible. We don’t expect you to need to work out fabric widths,
amounts or gathers. All we ever need is the existing track or pole width or the
recess width some easy additions.
Measuring Width:
If you have an existing track or pole on premises, please provide the width in
millimetres. For tracks we need the measurement from end to end as shown below.
For curtain poles we require the measure between the decorative ends or finials
as shown below.
If you don’t have an existing track or pole, please provide the recess width
+300mm. This means your track or pole should allow your new curtains to sit
comfortably either side of the window.
Measuring Drop:
We believe that curtains are best hung either to the floor, to the sill or
below the sill. We recommend that curtains finish either:
A: 1cm above the floor
B: 15cm below the sill (or 2cm above any radiators)
C: 1cm above the sill.
Therefor you should measure from the top of the pole/track to where you’d like
it to finish.
Again, if you don’t have a track, please measure from 100mm above the recess.
