Contract 29mm Curtain Pole Kit – Stainless Steel

Contract 29 is the heavy-duty stainless steel pole in the Renaissance contract range. Stainless steel is the whole point of it: pole, brackets, rings and finials carry no paint or plating, so humidity, condensation, splashing, salt air and repeated disinfection do not lift a coating off the hardware. Specify it for hospital and care-home wet rooms and en-suites, hydrotherapy and treatment suites, swimming pool and leisure changing areas, commercial kitchens and staff facilities, and coastal hotels and apartments. At 29mm it takes heavy-weight curtains, which is where it differs from the 19mm Contract 19 stainless pole — same material, more section.

What is in the kit

Every kit contains the pole, rings (one per 10cm of pole), brackets, two finials, fixings and instructions. Bracket and ring counts by length are listed in the specification tab. Free RCA delivery on orders over £250; next-day dispatch on orders placed before 12pm.

Order curtains and poles together

Pair this pole with made-to-measure fire retardant curtains on CreateFR. Pencil pleat and pinch pleat headings run on the rings supplied. Hardware is dispatched direct from the manufacturer and arrives separately from your curtains.

Choose the bracket before you order — the bracket is part of the kit, not an accessory. Wall fix with the Adjustable K bracket (75–100mm to pole centre), the contemporary bracket, the extendable bracket (100–120mm to pole centre) or the standard L bracket. Ceiling fix with the ceiling bracket, which sits 50–95mm to pole centre. Renaissance does not publish a projection figure for the contemporary or standard L bracket, so measure your own clearance over sills, radiators and window furniture before you fix.

Bracket count follows the kit length: two brackets on the 120cm, 160cm, 200cm kits and three on the 240cm, 320cm, 400cm, 500cm kits. Set them level, fix into solid masonry or into timber behind plasterboard, and use an anchor suited to the substrate rather than relying on the kit fixings in a weak background.

Bay windows: a multi-angle bay pole connector (07M3BAYE) is available separately, so a Contract 29 pole can be turned through the angles of a square or splayed bay and drawn as one curtain rather than broken into separate poles. A recess bracket is also available where the pole has to sit inside the reveal.

Rings and finials: thread all the rings onto the pole before you fit the second finial. One ring per 10cm of pole is supplied — 120cm: 12 · 160cm: 16 · 200cm: 20 · 240cm: 24 · 320cm: 32 · 400cm: 40 · 500cm: 50. Non-lined stainless rings are standard; nylon-lined rings are available separately for quieter running on curtains that are drawn many times a day.

Care: wipe the pole and rings with a soft damp cloth and a neutral detergent. Avoid abrasive pads and chloride-based cleaners, which will mark stainless steel over time.
